McKenna Quinn is excited to host a three night, two day ladies' pheasant hunt at the Double P Ranch in Clark, South Dakota, from November 9th to 12th, 2024. Join us in chasing pheasant on the Coteau des Prairies of South Dakota, a region known for its scenic beauty, agricultural significance and diverse wildlife habitat.

Double P Ranch

At Double P Ranch, every aspect of habitat restoration and protection is meticulously considered. The endless upland native grass cover, numerous thoughtfully designed food plots, and a diverse array of small and large wetlands scattered across the landscape showcase the ranch's dedication to creating a harmonious ecosystem.

One of the advantages of hunting with Double P Ranch is that their guides are intimately familiar with the land and the wildlife that call it home. This means that they can help you locate the best spots for hunting and give you valuable insights.

Hunt Schedule

Participants will arrive at the lodge for dinner on the 9th, followed by two days of hunting on the 10th & 11th before departing on the morning of the 12th.

Pheasant hunting at Double P begins at 10 am. Guides meet the group in the morning and head to the fields. A typical day will consist of some trap shooting after breakfast, followed by the morning hunt, generally 2.5-3 hours in the field before returning to the lodge for lunch. The group will go back to the fields for the afternoon and hunt the remainder of the day if desired.

Lodging

After our day in the field we will retreat to the Lakeview Lodge overlooking the Double P orchard. The lodge has five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upper floors feature a vaulted Great Room with a full open kitchen and walk out wrap-around deck overlooking the Double P orchard. The lower level walkout has two bedrooms and bathroom with a walk-in rain shower. The level of the lodge has a pool table and cozy lounge. In the cooler months the in-floor geo-thermal heating provides welcoming environment when coming in from the cold. 

Our culinary journey during our stay will be expertly crafted by Double P’s distinguished executive chef, Chris Lee. Chris will be using locally sourced aged-beef, pork, poultry, and harvested game in his meals.
